Columbia Police Department officers were diligently searching for Sims who had been missing since the week of Christmas, and arrested Taylor Wardlaw in connection with his disappearance. Eddie Brown, 30, has been charged as an accomplice in the killing by the Columbia Police Department, officials say. Sims was a 26-year-old man who was last seen in a residence at Ervin Street in Columbia Dec. 20. His partner, Wardlaw, reported him missing on Dec. 22, according to police. The body was discovered near a stream off Monticello Road Wednesday, and the Richland County Coroner, Naida Rutherford confirmed the body was owned by Sims. Skip Holbrook of Columbia Police reports that Wardlaw has been charged with murder of Sims and possession of a weapon during a violent incident. Police claim Sims was killed multiple times. The Columbia Police Department's tweet in need of help from the community.
